My first hands-on Bible
(Tyndale)
2016 conference recommendation by Olly Goldenberg
The preschooler version of the “Hands-On Bible”. Jesus taught with hands-on lessons and illustrations and this book uses the same experience-based learning to communicate God’s Word in an active, understandable way to children ages 3-6. Using common household items, you can help your children have a hands-on learning experience while engaging them in 85 key stories from the Bible. Including actual Scripture from the easy-to-understand New Living Translation along with activities, fun illustrations, prayers, and a special Jesus Connection feature.

2011 conference recommendation by Bob Hartman & John Stephenson, Catherine Kyte and Maggie Barfield
The big story of the Bible from Creation to Revelation, told in 188 stories especially for young children, with the Bible Friends characters illustrating every story. Originally written to use alongside the Bubbles group material from Scripture Union’s Light programme, but ideal to use with any preschool group and to give to early readers.

First 100 Bible Words
(Authentic)
A board book. Each double page spread has the story told around the edge of the page surrounding a set of labelled pictures (a mixture of photos and drawings). Covers the stories of Creation, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, Jonah, Daniel, Jesus is born, Jesus teaches, Jesus dies and rises again.
Sue says: This is a larger format (about 23cm x 23cm) than many of the board book Bibles. It would make an ideal book to use to illustrate Bible stories with a group of young children.
